When it comes to fillings and restorations, I think it is most ethical to have and provide all materials that are needed for these procedures. Filling materials include silver (amalgam) to tooth colored composites and all different varieties of porcelain and ceramics. There are certainly scenarios that silver would be more beneficial than tooth colored restorations or vice versa. We have to bear in mind that each and every one of these materials has their disadvantages such as wear resistance, tensile limitations, compressive limitations, resistance to static load, dimensional change, and possible leakage/shrinkage issues. One can't limit the practice to just "white fillings". What happens when you are not told about other possibilities? The actual milling procedure which is very entertaining will usually take 4-12 minutes.
