When the indication for these treatments arises, it is most important to know what type of restoration and crown would be most beneficial for each specific patient. The options are unlimited and range from metal to gold to different types of porcelain fused to gold/metal, and all the way to all porcelain or different types of all ceramic or zirconia restorations and crowns. Having the knowledge to chose the right material for any specific case, would only allow a better decision by the patient. In addition to all commercial availabilities regarding lab fabricated restorations, Pleasantsmiles has implemented CEREC TECHNOLOGY (a German made robot). It is the cutting edge of advanced dentistry that follows a European model. CEREC is a third generation of its kind with over 20 years of studies and over fifteen million cases. The CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided machining) will fabricate crowns, veneers and restorations at the first visit eliminating temporary crowns and a two week waiting period with potential complications meanwhile. Essentially same day crowns are possible. The event in and of itself is quite interesting and can be viewed by the patient which takes about    4-12 minutes to come to completion. It is not for every case and again for the right indications, it only makes sense to have the advanced technology available.
