I think a very important issue to talk about is the fact that dentistry is basically manual labor with a high degree in skill level and a professional education resulting in a doctorate diploma. The practitioner's back after any hard dental work is subject to stress and strain. The eyes get tired. The high pitch sound from certain equipment damages the hearing ability of any practitioner in time. All these will directly affect the practitioner's artistic abilities and your quality of life. These BOUNDARIES all affect longevity and prognosis of any treatment. Aren't we all trying to live longer but also healthy? And finally they may agree to give one, a fraction of the sum. Please understand that the complicated bureaucracy is part of the scheme, and extension of the whole process only translates to another's benefit and our loss. That loss means the society's and mine. The society loses access to higher care and the profession loses its integrity to succumb to a corporate driven hierarchy. This is in direct conflict of the integrity of the profession.
